I have such wonderful and warm memories of Neil, from our time teaching together at the Sarasota Music Festival, to serving on the jury of the Barbirolli Competition together, to presenting him with IDRS Honorary Membership (with Jan and I somehow managing to keep it a surprise!). His legacy as the finest of oboists and musicians is everlasting. What a great man!
